The Accountant will be responsible for managing day-to-day financial transactions, ensuring accuracy in financial records, preparing reports, and supporting compliance with relevant regulations. The ideal candidate has a strong grasp of accounting principles, excellent analytical skills, and a commitment to accuracy.
Record, classify, and summarize financial transactions in the general ledger
Maintain and update accounts payable and accounts receivable
Reconcile bank statements, credit card statements, and general ledger accounts monthly
Process invoices, expense reports, and payment runs
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow)
Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes
Conduct variance analysis and report findings to management
Identify trends and recommend improvements in financial performance
Ensure compliance with GAAP / IFRS / local accounting standards
Assist with tax preparation and filing (income tax, sales tax, VAT/GST)
Support internal and external audit processes
Maintain documentation for all financial transactions
Review and improve accounting processes and internal controls
Liaise with vendors, clients, and external auditors as needed
Assist with payroll processing and benefits administration
Perform ad-hoc financial analysis as requested
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required
CPA, CMA, ACCA, or equivalent certification preferred (or actively pursuing)
2–5 years of experience in accounting or a related finance role
Experience with full-cycle accounting preferred
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, NetSuite, SAP)
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, formulas)
Familiarity with ERP systems is a plus
Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
Excellent organizational and time-management skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively
